Menu quite good. The Sunday Special roast can be ok, but need to arrive early. The buffet veg is often overcooked.
Really friendly service, well priced meals and a nice front veranda. The Ceasar salad was delicious and almost enough to feed two people, highly recommended!
I went to the Lyndoch Hotel last night with my husband. We waited over an hour for our meal and noticed that other people came in after us and also ordered their meals after us but received their meals while we were still waiting. I had ordered drinks when we first arrived and was hesitant to ask the waitress where our meals were as she was so rude at the bar when I ordered the drinks and even got angry at the fact I asked for a bottle of water because she didn't have one in the fridge. I did finally go to the bar and spoke to the other waitress there and said we had been waiting for over an hour. She said she would find out what had happened to our food but we waited for quite a while and saw that she hadn't left the bar. My husband was angry and went up to the bar and again asked where our food was. She reluctantly went to the kitchen and came out again and then a while later came out with the food and threw the food down in front of us with a mean scowl on her face and stormed off. I heard the people at the next table complaining about the rudeness of the two waitresses and they also then commented to me about the way the waitress had delivered the food and that it was appalling service and not a way to treat customers. The food was also expensive and mediocre so if you want good service and good food at a reasonable price stay away from The Lyndoch Hotel because you won't get it there. I reluctantly gave it one star because you are unable to write a review without at least one star but even that is too generous and not deserved.

Was very popular in the evening. The food was quick with generous portions. Meat could have been a little more tender in curry but overall very tasty.
